Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, known professionally as Cardi B, is an American rapper. Born and raised in New York City, she is noted for her unfiltered public image and lyrics. First gaining recognition on Vine, Instagram, and as a cast member on VH1's Love & Hip Hop: New York, Cardi B released her two mixtapes between 2016 and 2017.
